You are looking at The Grandfather of The M3, the 1980 BMW 323i "Euro E-21" 2.3L. o the fact that I was a special European Import there may only be less than 300 of my type in the US, and a fraction of that still on the road! I have been meticulously cared for by a single family. I haved lived pretty much my whole life in California. As you will see in my photos below, I am in SUPERB condition. I may be 30 years old, but I have aged well! I have had a few thousand dollars of recent tune-ups (New Radiator, New Timing Chain, Fuel Injection & Compression Tune-up, New Tires, New Battery, New Windshield, and New Tinting) The Techs at Euro Performance World in Mission Viejo have done a superb job at keeping me "Tip Top" All of my service orders are in the glove box, so ther are no surprises.

That's right!! WHAT AN EXCELLENT CAR!!! This 323i is in very nice condition. Featuring the M20 and Bosch K Jetronic fuel injection, the 323i was the top model of the line with 143 bhp (107 kW; 145 PS) and four-disc power-assisted brakes. The car runs smooth and strong. The engine shifts the automatic transmission with smooth precission (no thumps or jerks AT ALL). We are impressed with this classic. You will be too, we hope! (See Photo Gallery Below..)

Take advantage of the savings in buying this "collectible" car at a sweet price!! It is very clean inside and out!! The body is smooth with pretty minor corrosion in the typical spots. The curb appeal is excellent and is, well, demonstrated in the photos below. Exterior

The exterior of this car is in spotless condition. The paint is shiny and smooth with no major dents or scrataches. Although there are a few minor corrosion spots, I have taken a close-up of what they look like (See Below). The wheels look smooth and without blemish. No other exterior noticable blemishes found. The shifting is smooth. The drive is supurb!! The acceleration is powerful and quick. The bakes may need to be replaced. You can expect a beautifully kept condition. The sunroof doesn't leak.

Interior

It is in excellent condition and is very clean. THe Recaro seats will need new gloves. The carpet is clean and the back seat is PERFECT! The dash has only MINOR weatheing and still looks very nice (see photos). All items are VERY clean and are in working order. What else to say? See photos of the interior...

As with all aged cars that have not been restored, there are some places where you can see some bubbling.

The ground affect moulding just needs to be reattached towards the rear. Still in excellent condition.

All weels are in excellent condition. Smooth, no gouges, and no pitting. Just replace the center caps, and you are good to go!

You wont find a replacement bumper very easily. However, I checked with several bumper restoration places in O.C. and they all said it was possible to staighten out and rechrome for about $300. I will have it done for the buyer if desired. (*Cost not included in purchase price)

This inline six mechanical fuel injection is the grandfather of the world renound inline six of the BMW 3 Series. This motor starts and purs like a kitten. Give it the gas, and she growls like a tiger.

All toold but the channel locks are in place.

The rocker panels are in excellent condition.

You may have to brush up on your German.

It appears that after the fins were removed from the bonnet, a coat of paint was added to blend the color. As you can see some of it has peeled away from the washer blade socket.

Seat is an aftermakert Recaro. It just needs to be reskinned. $250-$350 I will have it done for the buyer if desired. (*Cost not included in purchase price)

The interior wasn't 100% cleaned and detailed in this photo, and you can see that it is still very clean.

The dashboard, although slightly weathered, still looks very nice. No used 3 Series from this era has escaped without a slightly cracked dashboard. Unless it stays in the garage, and that would be a shame altogether!

Back seats are freshly reupholstered.
